NORTHERN ARGENTINA – 10 UNFORGETTABLE DAYS

Day 1 – MONTEVIDEO - URUGUAY

Day 2 – SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY.
Accommodation in an excellent hotel, in rooms with private bathroom, TV, etc. We will take a city tour to see the 17th-century Cathedral with its pulpit carved in ñandubay wood and gold-leafed cedar, the Cabildo, and the magnificent French Baroque Government House, which keeps the first Argentine flag, donated by Manuel Belgrano, and the Church of San Francisco -- Rest of the day free for a first taste of this beautiful city and/or to enjoy the amazing amenities of our hotel. Day 3 - JUJUY –
Breakfast included and early departure for a full-day trip on one of the most beautiful and striking routes: the QUEBRADA DE HUMAHUACA, A WORLD HERITAGE SITE. We will pass through the towns of Volcán and Tumbaya to reach Purmamarca. We will admire the incredible Hill of 7 Colors and visit its craft market and its church dating from 1648. We will then cross the Tropic of Capricorn and, deep in the Quebrada, reach HUMAHUACA. We will be at 2936 m above sea level, in the heart of a region with a geological past of 600 million years and a cultural history of 10,000 years. A landscape of endless color that will move us deeply... Tour of the town to see the monument to "The Heroes of Independence", the Cabildo and the Church of La Candelaria, dating from 1641. We will arrive in time to see the figure of Saint Francis Solano come out. Lunch included. Free time. On the way back we will visit the Church of Uquía. We continue our trip to TILCARA, a small village very popular with foreign visitors. We will stop to photograph the Painter's Palette Hill. Rest of the evening free. -

DAY 4 - JUJUY –
Breakfast included, transfer with luggage. We suggest the optional trip to Salinas Grandes and San Antonio de los Cobres, a mining town at 4200 m above sea level. It can be done in comfortable air-conditioned vans with personalized service that will drop us off in SALTA. Accommodation in a centrally located hotel with a heated pool, in rooms with every comfort. In the evening: dinner show included at one of the most famous folk music venues (peñas) in South America.

DAY 5 - SALTA -
Breakfast included - Free morning - In the afternoon, we will take a guided tour of the city of SALTA, "La Linda" (the Beautiful). We will arrive at Parque San Martín, where you can optionally go up Cerro San Bernardo (cable car) for a spectacular panoramic view of the city. Founded in 1582, the capital retains the special charm of its colonial mansions mixed with modern buildings. We will take an unmissable walking tour of the Cathedral, the Cabildo and the Church of San Francisco, all around Plaza 9 de Julio, framed by arcades that house the most iconic shops. DAY 6 - SALTA -

DAY 7 – SALTA –
Breakfast included, and departure with luggage through places of unrivaled beauty: the Calchaquí Valleys, with areas dominated by reddish rock formations: the Quebrada, the Amphitheater and a stop to visit a renowned winery that produces the typical Torrontés wine, with tasting... Arrival in Cafayate with lunch included. We continue over the "El Infiernillo" pass, 3043 m above sea level, to see the Aconquija massif among the clouds. Descending to 2000 m above sea level, we will reach TAFÍ DEL VALLE, where beautiful summer houses blend into the green landscape of the hills. We travel through the Quebrada de los Sosa (with its incredible Yungas jungle scenery along the winding "caracol" road). After Acheral, SAN MIGUEL DE TUCUMÁN awaits us. Accommodation in a quality hotel right in the city center, with every comfort. Free evening.

DAY 8 – SAN MIGUEL DE TUCUMÁN -
Breakfast included. Free day for personal activities in a city that will win us over with its energy. We can go shopping, stroll the pedestrian streets and make the most of the hotel facilities - In the evening, dinner included in the "Garden City"...

DAY 9 – SAN MIGUEL DE TUCUMÁN - -
Breakfast included - Departure with luggage on a city tour of the "Historic City of the Argentines": the Cathedral, the Church of La Merced, the Historic House and Parque 9 de Julio, then on via Termas de Río Hondo towards the border.
